Why Jumpstart Exists

Jumpstart exists because we believe that every young person deserves the chance to build a brighter future through access to education, skills development, and pathways to careers and employment opportunities.

Our Clubs

We have Jumpstart Clubs spanning across the country, with many more schools ready to join Jumpstart in 2026. Every Jumpstart Club is student-led with the support of their Jumpstart Guardian (teacher) and our team. Learners initiate and run their own projects that address the challenges or the needs of their school or community. These projects ultimately create positive change and impact, allowing learners to learn valuable lessons, even when they make mistakes.

With the support of their educators and our team, Jumpstart members are delivering excellent projects, proving that leadership has no age barrier.

We believe that every young South African carries untapped potential to become the best version of themselves and become leaders who can drive positive change in their school and community.

While most focus on the problems, we focus on the potential and solutions. When we invest in youth development, we’re not just changing individual lives — we’re transforming the trajectory of our nation. When young people succeed, the entire nation benefits.

From Survivors to Leaders
